“Executive authorities and law-enforcement agencies received a clear instruction from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the acting President: there will be no loosening to anyone who violates the Law, walks with weapons and uses them, regardless of where this takes place – Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk or Kharkiv,” claimed Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov on Saturday during the plenary meeting.
The Chairman of the Parliament addressed his colleagues from the opposition with a request to evaluate the situation objectively. “You know, just as well as we do, who organizes mass protests in the Eastern Ukraine – these are Kremlin’s agents who create provocations”, claimed Oleksandr Turchynov. “I want us to call a spade a spade.”
“The Law is the same for everybody. Those who are trying to destabilize the situation, seize buildings, act with violations of the Constitution and the laws, work for those who are annexing Ukraine’s territory now, they work for enemies of Ukrainian people,” he said, stressing that there will be a respective reaction of law-enforcement bodies to these illegal actions.
